Following my love of Japanese food, I try to find restaurants wherever I go, but good ones are hard to come by. The Suschinoen in Whitechapel was an exception.
Nestled away from the heart of London, the restaurant boasts a sushi bar for 5 people and tables in various configurations. Dining by myself, I was seated at the bar, an experience I enjoyed as I could watch the chef prepare the food. Watching a skilled chef is a pleasure, but watch a skilled sushi chef is a delight.
The food here was very well presented and tasty, the staff efficient and very polite. The portions are a good size and the prices are reasonable, for central London. I will go back when I'm in the area. Octopus balls, swordfish and salmon filled me up and the cocktail was a nice way to wash it down.
