Coach house, Hambrook, Bristol

Dates: June 2015

The Coach House, Bristol is an old stables in the village of Hambrook. It has been converted into a 16 room Bed and Breakfast. I stayed here for a number of nights during June 2015. I enjoyed my time as the room was spacious and well lit. There was a certain charm to the building and the narrow, steep stairs to ascend to the first floor.

I stayed in room 16 and as usual for modern B&Bs it had an ensuite. The room itself was fairly large, with a TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and lots of character. A large circular window overlooked the fields adjacent to the building. An wooden open clothes rail added to the ambience. The room was plenty warm enough for me but there was an electric radiator provided, so I can only think it could get chilly in the winter.

The bathroom comprised of a shower, with a step into it as it was an enclosure, a toilet and a large sink. The standard toiletries were provided. A highlight for myself was the free, super fast internet connection (30mb)which meant I was able to work whilst there.

The breakfast was a traditional buffet with a cooked option. I'm not sure exactly of all the options as I stuck to my normal: bacon and scrambled eggs. They were cooked just how I like them.
